Refreshing Green Smoothie with a Kick

This smoothie is delicious and very satisfying!
I love to have this in the evenings...


1.5 packed handful of Parsley leaves

6-7 Mint leaves

1 ripe Banana

1 ripe Pear

1/2 cup water

1-3 tsp Honey (according to taste)

Pinch of Salt

Dashes of Cayenne Pepper (according to taste)

4-5 Ice cubes (to keep the smoothie cool while blending)


Add all ingredients into high speed blender and process until smooth. You might like to start with 1 or 2 tsp honey first, taste and see if you need any more.

Please bear in mind that it is not recommended that fruit and vegetables should be mix together in one meal, which is why the traditional idea of mixing carrots, beetroot, etc with fruits in the one smoothie is not ideal for health.

But despite this, you can still have a fabulous and great tasting smoothie by simply replacing the Vegetables with greens/herbs instead, as is done in this recipe.
