Sliceable & Grateable Cheeze

This cheeze Slices and Grates nicely! 
Great in sliced sandwiches, crackers, and as a finger food!
Lovely grated over anything you would grated cheese.
Our kids enjoy eating slices of these straight up...
Hubby reckons they taste too much like the real thing..
                  
 
Ingredients A:

1 1/2 cup water
3 Tbsp Agar powder

 

Ingredients B:
1 cup additional water
1 + 3/4 cup raw cashews
1/3 Cup of roasted Red Capsicum (optional - still tastes great without it)

3  1/4 tsp sea salt
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 Cup nutritional yeast flakes
2 Tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp turmeric or Saffron for colour
 

Method:

  1. Add all of Ingredients B into a blender and blend until very smooth. Sit aside.

  2. Put the 1 1/2 cup of boiling water from Ingredients A into a small pan and add the 3 Tbsp of Agar powder and stir until it dissolves and thickens.     

  3. Scrape all the Agar mixture into the blender with Ingredients B mixture and blend well.

  4. Transfer the mixture into an oil pan or container of choice.

  5. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours until it completely firms up.

  6. It is now ready to be grated or sliced.

 
Note: Keeps for 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.
