Quick Creamy, Smooth Cheeze

Easy, healthy and delicious, vegan cheese..

A big hit with the kids and adults.. My family loves it on almost anything!



  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tbsp agar powder (can slice but still spreadable. Almost like a hard cream cheese. If want firmer use 2 tbsp agar powder)

  • 1 cup raw cashews

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 2/3-1 Lemon juice 

  • 1/2 tsp Tumeric for colour



  1. Lightly grease 1 small round baking tin with rice brand oil or other.

  2. Place the cashews, nutritional yeast, salt, onion powder and lemon juice in a blender or food processor and process until very smooth.

  3. Add the 1 Cup boiled water to a medium non-stick pot and add the agar. Use a whisk to stir and dissolve on med heat for about 2-3 minutes.

  4. Pour the agar mixture into the blender with the cashew cream and blend on high for another 1 minute.

  5. Transfer cheese into the greased tin and store in the fridge for at least 2 hours covered until set.


Note: this cheese is firm enough to slice, but soft enough to spread. The texture is similar to firm cream cheese.

Also nice with finely chopped fresh dill mixed in.
