The One True God in the 3 Angels Messages
There is a very important set of messages that has been proclaimed to the world since the 1800's. And we find these messages in Revelation 14. These messages are of so great importance that they are shown as being proclaimed with 'LOUD VOICES'. Sadly today, the majority of churches have turned away and rejected these messages and have become the very thing that these messages warns about - "FALLEN BABYLON".
Not only that, the very church in which God chose to give these messages to the world, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, has now itself rejected the foundation of this end time warning, and that is to worship the one true God. The whole world, including the Seventh-day Adventist Church, has been deceived into worshipping the false trinity god of Babylon. So on this page, we are going to show that the very foundation of the three angels messages is the call to turn to the one true God of the Bible.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before we begin going through the three angels' messages. Let us make a note of something important. In Revelation 14:1 it says that the 'special group' of end time saints, the 144,000 are those who have the FATHER'S name written in their foreheads. Why do they specifically have the Father's name? Keep that in your mind as we go through the three angel's messages.
FIRST ANGEL'S MESSAGE - Revelation 14:6-7 ...'And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, fear God, and give glory to HIM; for the hour of HIS judgment is come: and WORSHIP HIM that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.'
This first message is a call to worship the one true God. But who is 'HE' which is to be worshipped? Is this the trinity god that is worshipped by the world's churches today? Well, this message seems to be pointing to a singular God, saying 'Him' and 'His'. Let's take a look at the rest of the Bible to see if we can find out who this God is.
John 4:21-24 ...'Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.'
This is very interesting. Jesus tells the Samaritan woman that she knows NOT who she worships. But 'we', Jesus says, speaking of the Jews KNOW who we worship. And who was it whom Jesus says is the 'God' who is to be worshipped? A trinity '3 in 1' god? No, THE FATHER. And what about the Jews? Did they worship a trinity god? Because Jesus said that the Jews knew who they worshipped. Let's take a look at a conversation between Jesus and a Jewish scribe to confirm this.
Mark 12:28-32 ...'And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. ... And the scribe said unto him, well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but HE.'
So who is the 'one Lord'? Who is the 'one God'? Who is HE that Jesus and this scribe is talking about? Well, just look back at what Jesus said to the woman at the well. The one God is the Father. It is 'HE' who is to be worshipped, which Jesus confirmed in John 4 above. And it is 'HE' whom the angel is pointing us to in the first angel's message. And we can confirm this in many other Bible texts, look:
Ephesians 1:17 ...'That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.'
John 17:1-3 ...'Father ... this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.'
1 Corinthians 8:4-6 ...'As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) but to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.'
John 20:17 ...'Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.'
1 Corinthians 11:3 ...'But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.'
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 ...'For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.'
2 John 1:3 ...'Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.'
Ephesians 1:2-3 ...'Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.'
So who is 'HE' who is the one true God according to Christ and the apostles? A trinity '3 in 1' god? No, it is God the Father. This is the God whose 'judgment has come' as confirmed in the first angel's message. And who is the judge of all according to the Bible? Let's look:
Hebrews 12:22-24 ...'But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, AND to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant.'
1 Timothy 2:5 ...'For there is one God, AND one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.'
Romans 2:16 ...'In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men BY Jesus Christ according to my gospel.'
So who is the judge of all? It is God. And who is God according to Jesus and the apostles? It is God the Father. And God the Father judges the world THROUGH Jesus Christ His Son. To whom God has committed and given authority to judge the world (John 5:27). For Christ is the Mediator between God and man.
Yes, the first angel's message is also a message connected with the seventh day Sabbath, because it is pointing us to the Creator of heaven and earth, and the seventh day Sabbath is a sign of God's creation, a memorial to His creative work. So the Sabbath is a very important part of this message. But which is more important - the Sabbath or the GOD OF the Sabbath? Or course, the God of the Sabbath is more important than the Sabbath itself. And who is the God who created heaven and earth according to the Bible? Let's look at some more verses to see:
Ephesians 3:9 ...'And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things BY Jesus Christ.'
Matthew 11:25 ...'At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.'
Acts 4:24-27 ...'And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against His Christ. For of a truth against Thy holy child Jesus, whom Thou hast anointed.'
Acts 14:15 ...'And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein.'
So who is the God whom the first angel's message is calling us to worship? Who is the Creator and 'Lord of heaven and earth'? It is clearly God the Father. And He created all things through His very own Son, Jesus Christ. God the Father is clearly the 'HIM' who the first angel is warning the world to worship, not some '3 in 1' trinity god.
"A knowledge of God is the foundation of all true education and of all true service. It is THE ONLY REAL SAFEGUARD against temptation. It is THIS ALONE that can make us like God in character. This is THE KNOWLEDGE NEEDED BY ALL who are working for the uplifting of their fellow men. Transformation of character, purity of life, efficiency in service, adherence to correct principles, ALL DEPEND UPON A RIGHT KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. This knowledge is THE ESSENTIAL PREPARATION BOTH FOR this life and for the life to come. The KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY is understanding. Proverbs 9:10. Through a KNOWLEDGE OF HIM are given unto us 'all things that pertain unto life and godliness.' 2 Peter 1:3. 'This is life eternal,' SAID JESUS, 'that they might KNOW THEE THE ONLY TRUE GOD, AND JESUS CHRIST, whom THOU hast sent.' John 17:3." (E.White, Ministry of Healing, 1905, pp. 409-410)
Ephesians 1:17 ...'That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.'
"Our heavenly Father IS THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE, and Christ is the divine Son, the One equal with the Father." (E.White, Ms49, 1906, par.26)
